Guidelines: Please fill in all the boxes on this form; it will help other people find and contribute to the discussion on similar topics. Placing a ? in the subject title will help distinguish Questions from Comments. Contributors must use their real name, and not a nickname; your name will be published with your contribution. Your personal address details (postcode and email address) will not be displayed on the site. Underneath the question/comment box there are opportunities for you to provide links to other online information, and to upload photos and videos as evidence. The site will be moderated and inappropriate comments edited or removed, but your contribution will be immediately visible in Browse Questions. If you think that another category or function needs to be added to this page please let us know and (if we think you’re right) it can be quickly provided.
Please note that this website is not considering questions or comments about the response immediately after the floods by various organisations, the physical and economic recovery process, and the availability of financial assistance and insurance.
Questions, not answers: At this stage of the response to December’s floods it is more important to collect questions and comments than to expect answers. By providing the former you will help the Calderdale Floods Commission, the Environment Agency and the Council to assess what the answers might be in order to translate them into solutions. These organisations have access to the information on this website (like everyone else). Please do make submissions or give evidence to the Commission by email or attending their meetings as well as posting your thoughts here.
